What Flew By

What Flew By is a collection of home textiles, pocket buddies, wearables and teepees interpreted from spontaneous crayon drawings of the yearnings of flying in open skies with winged companions. Of evenings spent waving at birds, playing hide and seek along the clothesline, and watching them glide away. In the swiftness of their movement, they resemble flying chillies, hibiscus petals and grandma's handkerchiefs. The drawings are translated into joyous products by the skillful hands of our master artisans using exquisite Kantha embroidery and applique to give flight to the imagination.
